Ok, I've finally gotten back to the computer. Hope you find my reply. Thank you. I will look into this Mark Starr. It's definitely a consideration that the synthroid is doing absolutely nothing, or very little, to him at all. I have no synthroid-free version of my child to compare with :)

I'm curious to know, if your daughter has access to a newborn screening test in her state (I could have skipped it here because our son was born at home), will she get it just to rule out all those freakishly rare metabolic conditions and stuff like thyroid problems? And will she get it once or twice? Our baby's didn't show up until the 2nd one. The first one showed normal. Unfortunately, this was a state-administered test, meaning once we chose to take it, They know.
