PateintAdvocate, you've obviously put a lot of thought into your reply, which we all appreciate. But I'm curious about your points on "blocking" testosterone. Are you saying that you believe testosterone is somehow the cause, or contributing factor, to prostate troubles?

As a male, who loves his testosterone, and has beaten prostate cancer, I must strongly disagree. And I'm really worried that your advice might have terrible lifestyle consequences for any male who takes it. Life without testosterone, I'm afraid, isn't much of a life.

I'm aware, of course, that some parts of the medical establishment still continue to push the "demon testosterone" line. But few endocrinologists do, and it's obviously counter-intuitive. If testosterone were the problem, wouldn't prostate woes be a YOUNG man's problem?

So, let's ask ourselves, what hormone problems do AGING men face? Clearly, a decrease in testosterone (T) levels, along with a marked increase in estrogen (E)...known as "estrogen dominance". My research, and my personal experience, certainly tell me that's the root problem of prostate problems.

I beat my cancer by attacking the estrogen, with DIM, phytosterol, progesterone, and soy. Plus a low-fat diet, with lots of protein, fruit and veggies.

And...pssst!...my little secret: I actually use testosterone cream supplementation, to keep my "T" at a younger man's level, along with lower "E".

Must say it works wonders for me.
