BNG my friend, I too have a lot of respect for Wombat, Uny and H. I have respect for all of them when it comes to the knowledge they have imparted and their obvious desire to help others find healing and good health. With some of them, such as yourself, I even have close friendship. However, the topic of this thread was decorum and not who was or was not right in their knowledge or opinions regarding MRI's.
The gist of most posts here is how disconcerting it has been to see all of the uncalled for insults and, if I may be so bold to observe, what appears to be an obsessive pattern on the part of one individual of not being able to handle posts and individuals that disagree with them. The result has been that time and time again, instead of merely making one or two posts which state an opinion and then perhaps rebut an alternate opinion we see a string of posts that become increasingly insulting to other members.
The debate forums were created for a reason, and even there such insulting remarks should not be allowed to go beyond the pale. Prolonged debate in support forums is inappropriate and circumvents the rules and design of CureZone. Insulting remarks that attack the messenger instead of the message in any forum are clearly not in keeping with the stated guidelines of CureZone.
When such behavior comes from someone who has been given the privilege and responsibility of having a private forum it is, in my opinion, a blackmark not only for that individual but for all of CureZone to see such behavior on support forums - particularly one such as "Ask CureZone", which I believe was accurately observed by another poster to be essentially the "gateway to CureZone".
I have had a tendency in the past to get into more prolonged debates than I should have. Sometimes those debates became less than friendly and took on personal tones (shades of Corinthian and Dangerous Bacon, for those who remember). Invariably I have regretted doing so. If we are confident in our knowledge or opinions, then it should not take scores of posts beyond an initial one or two to make our points and we should let those couple of posts stand on their merits without arguing (or insulting) ad infinitum to keep trying to support our initial premise. And we, especially us private forum owners, should be better individuals than to let ourselves become petty or vindictive or sling mud against other members.
It is a lesson that I have had to learn - or at least tried to learn. I hope that the same can happen for others.
My two cents,
DQ
PS - I agree with you that Grz is a wonderful example to follow. He is one of my heroes.
