I feel you man, I'm starting to learn that it's not one thing that causes us to crash.
With me it was a high stress job, anger issues, excessive sexual activity, smoking, drinking, drugs, late nights, excessive exercise, a toxic relationship, bad food, being too hard on my self, type-A perfectionist personality, jealousy and worrying too much over things not within my control.
Then all it takes is one bad flu or a car accident or some other trauma and wham... adrenal fatigue.
I too am thankful that we have this forum to support each other, share ideas on getting well and just generally knowing that there are others out there in the same boat helps tremendously.
Maybe we should change AA to mean Adrenals Anonymous!
I will also add that since finding this forum and applying some of the suggestions, I am starting feeling a little better. I've gone from major insomnia, full on anxiety with the "wired but tired" feeling, extreme fatigue, major brain fog, painful muscles and joints, inability to stand for more than 10 minutes, constant nausea and dry heaving and having to eat every 2 hours or my blood sugar crashed to now feeling...
only occasional minor nervousness, I can go 3 hours without my blood sugar crashing, I'm starting to sleep at night from 11-7 waking up maybe 2-3 times but being able to get back to sleep, being able to take naps during the day (the anxiety previously prevented me from doing so), only minor brain fog now and the fatigue is somewhat reduced.
Of course these symptoms come and go in severity depending on the time of day and my level of activity, but the general trend is that I'm not sitting in front of my computer like I was a week ago feeling like death warmed over.
