I've been researching fluoride free beers for quite some time. The above message really helped me since there's not much info about it anywhere.
I have come to find that European imports are almost all of them fluoride free! Although many beer companies use filtered water of some kind, most of the times fluoride isn't removed the process they use (although other heavy metals are).
So, in Europe most of the countries - such as Holland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, to name a few - refuse to put fluoride in their tap water, consequently making it impossible for their beer to contain fluoride. (I also read somewhere that fluoride in beer also makes it taste different). I doubt any of their breweries use tap water in their brew, but if by any chance they did, all the bad stuff is removed by their filtrating process. ( Fluoride wouldn't be removed normally IF their tap water had fluoride in it, which is why normally American beers contain it. )
PS: Most parts of England aren't exactly fluoride free but have very little concentrations, I read. (Beware New Castle brown ale is one of the few brewed in a non fluoride free area).
Now I always buy imports when I go to bars and if they're too expensive, I know I can always buy Miller Lite, Molson or Coors(I understand that Molson Coors is Miller Coors in America, correct? So I assume they brew the beer the same way as stated in the letter received by the user above).
I also contacted Red Stripe with this specific question and, after a month because they did not know it right away, I got a call from them saying that: NO, their beer does NOT contain fluoride. They use distilled water for the brewing. Yay, another fluoride free beer!
The taste is indeed different! Hope you people out there looking for ways not to consume fluoride appreciate this! I was highly frustrated when looking for this info online! :D Enjoy guys!
