Re: probiotic and leaky gut

Leaky gut allows stuff that would remain in the gut to access the bloodstream. Mostly toxins. And the inflammation prevents from proper assimilation of the food that should access the bloodstream. You do want friendly bacteria into your gut- but not into your bloodstream for then your immune system needs to get rid of toxins plus extra bacteria (which being alive are more readily able to move about than toxins).

Leaky gut is what the ONLY thing you should focus on (along with the diet) as long as you have it. It is a heavy load on your immune system, liver and kidneys. You do not want to overload them they already struggle.

Out of experience. I have had success getting rid of leaky gut, when I was advised to stop using probiotics.
