Copper and Candida

I'm a bit confused about whether to supplement with copper or not. It is generally stated that zinc and molybdenum inhibit the uptake of copper, and if taking significant amounts of these two minerals you should also take copper to compensate.

However I have come across claims on the internet that Candida causes copper toxicity, and that reducing copper with zinc is actually a good thing. It is also claimed that this Candida induced high copper state actually causes a zinc deficiency.

I also came across a claim that copper IUDs cause vaginal Candida, which supports the theory that it may be good to lower copper levels.

So I'm not sure what to do. Maybe I shouldn't supplement copper after all. My tests (including hair) indicate my copper levels are normal. But I'm not sure this means much. My zinc levels are normal, yet I seem to have a zinc deficiency. Maybe Candida does weird things with some of these minerals.

Does anyone have any reliable info to support this link between high copper and Candida?
