Muscle Twitching

This is my first time ever posting on a blog like this, so bear with me. I hade the Mirena from Nov 2009 until May 2010 after being on the pill for several years. I wanted off the pill because of the hormones (I'm 41) and my Gyn thought this would be a good idea. After two months of the mirena I developed horrible anxiety, racing heart, and my heart seemed to beat very hard. Then I got ringing in my ears and muscle twitches all over my body. I, like all of you, was doing research to try to explain all of these symptoms and I decided it had to be the Mirena. It's been out for almost five weeks and I'm still suffering from anxiety and muscle twitches all over my body -- the twitches are totally freaking me out! I can't concentrate on anything and then when I start to think everything's O.K., I start twitching. It's in my legs, butt, arms, and even my belly. Also, sometimes my two little toes on my left foot will just move on their own. The twitches are just quick movements, but they come and go all day. I'm driving my husband and kids crazy because they think it's no big deal, but I can't help it.... Has anyone else had this twitching?

My doctor thinks it's just anxiety and I have been on Lexapro for years. I don't think it's the Lexapro because I never had the twitching before the Mirena. Help!!
