Your situation sounds a lot like mine...

I haven't been able to handle Iodine anymore. I used to, it's weird...but then something changed and now I get sick as hell or lose my mind and begin having thoughts of suicide (which scares me and isn't like me) if I get over a few mgs a day... I think my adrenals, liver and kidneys are messed up and iodine releases tons of poisons in my system but then they can't leave. I had a strong intuition to stop taking iodine until I can get my organs in better working order. It seemed to just be stressing me and making things worse as of now.

I think I am going to do something similar to what youre doing. If you have the time, can you explain a little more what exactly you are doing in the thyroid targeting week?
