IMO, people who have never experienced any type of suffering/pain probably minimize yours because THEY think it might make you feel better by pointing out that someone else has it worse than you do. It won't.

My experience over the years is not to engage anyone who has not experienced firsthand what you are going through. This would be experience themselves or a spouse or child. Otherwise your voice will be cast to the wind.

What people fail to realize is that everyone has a different threshold of pain and suffering. What one person experiences as monumentally painful, another person will experience that same thing as no more than an annoying itch.

This is why I LOVE CureZone. Although not the same as a face to face, the people here are supportive, highly educational and comforting.

Don't take it to heart. Instead find those of like mind with whom you can talk to and discard (permanently if possible) others who are not supportive and draining.
