Manhattan is the world's financial center, home of the United Nations, home of the best restaurants in the US,
the best theater, the best shops and museums. The film industry, the music industry, the fashion industry are only a few of the "best in the world." And the reason for our success is dependant upon thousands of immigrants from all over the world. The immigrants who own the finest restaurants, own hundreds of shops, who work in theater, music, fashion, etc. Manhattan is a big, sophisticated city, not a town in the midwest.
To sterotype all Muslims as terrorists would not be advantageous to New York, anymore than it would be to sterotype all blacks, Hispanics, Asian, Europeans. We are what we are because of our diversity.
