Post Surgical & Trying not to worry.

Here it is in a nut shell.

I had been taking lortab and chasing them with stool softeners as of last week. Was hard, and difficult, but was able to get the deed done.

Monday at 11 I had Microdiscectomy (Lumbar Spinal surgery) Seems that the surg is successfull as can be ascertained right now. HOWEVER> I have only gone a fraction yesterday.

At what point to I start to panic?? I have been taking a stool softener with EACH Dilaudid. I am also on Valium, Lyrica and Mobic.

Yesterday I began generic dulcolax. Box says will produce results 6-12 hours after taking 1-3 tabs. Only took one last night. Have taken three today...over the course of the day. Still taking the softeners.

I have even restorted the prunes. I have had 6-8 of them this afternoon. I have been ddrinking fruit juice, yogurt and applesauce.

I know this can be a concern...not to meantion, with lower spinal surgery...I dont' want to be pushing ANYTHING out.
