For me I was on Montreal's diet since July up until a week ago. I'll be honest, I didn't follow his diet 100% simply because it was just not possible for my lifestyle. I'm not whining but just being real (which he argues on his site that if you cannot follow the diet 100%, then quit whining). The only way I would be able to follow his diet 100% is to get a job now for some income, quit my job after some time, get an apartment and next summer lock myself up with a bunch of fruits and veggies and follow his schedule/guidelines...not happening bro.
There is no way I or others can do that. The whole plan in itself was causing me to stress out. On top of that, school takes up 80% of my day. The other 20% is driving, sleeping, studying, family and personal life. Is that whining? No, that's called life. This is not to disrepect Montreal at all, I greatly appreciate the fact that he took his time to make a website for all of us in order to reach out and give a solution to this stupid thing but I'd say 90% of us won't be able to maintain the diet. Don't take it the wrong way. It's just not realistic for most of us. To no surprise, no one has posted any results of being healed with the diet. Again, I saw improvement, but very little. The negatives outweighed the positives, such as loss of weight, less energy, stress, time constraints, rules, expense etc.
I'm at the point of breakdown and giving up at this moment...but something keeps telling me that there is a solution for everyone, it won't be a quick fix but it won't be something that takes years. We have to analyze ourselves; our physical condition, emotional condition, stress, and all that other stuff that has been repeated over and over on this forum.
I do have one insight that might lead to something for all of us. This past summer I had all of my wisdom pulled out. Of course, when you have any type of surgery done, antibiotics are usually prescribed to prevent infection. I was surprised at how my lips did not peel for a full week while I was on the diet. When it came to caring for mouth after wisdom teeth extraction, water was constantly touching my lips and there was no way to avoid it. Shockingly I noticed that my lips never peeled and did not turn as white as usual, just a slight discoloration. It did not cure, but it greatly slowed down the peeling cycle. Though my lips were quite hard to the touch and still had a "thick" look, it made me realize that there may be a major bacterial infection inside our body. I really wanted to just keep taking the antibiotic but I know that is a bad bad bad idea, because it kills both the good and bad in our body and it would have a negative effect down the road.
One day guys and gals, we'll all be able to fix this thing for once and for all.
