Re: Kelp: Cure for Ovarian Cysts?

I have been diagnosed with an ovarian cysts. The physician put me on hormonal pills but so far I didn't take them. I read a lot about kelp and I got some (organic kelp powder from Starwest Botanicals). It doesn't taste too good but I mix it in my morning smoothie with fruit/vegetable juice and wheat and barley powder, but not sure how much should I use it yet. Right now I'm taking 1/4 of teaspoon every morning. On the internet I read a lot about Iodine toxicity if you take it too much. I drink only one small cup of coffee in the morning, and no more coffee during the day, just a cup of green tea in the evening. I have heavy bleeding during my period and spotting during few days before period as well some spotting during ovulation. I'm 38 years old mother of 2 children. I have done tubal ligation 3 years ago. I also got diagnosed with a very low hypothyroism. That was my main reason to try kelp, but while looking for a dosage I found this forum, so I hope the kelp can help my other health problems too. Thanks in advance for any help.
