divorce

I am in such trouble. I am absolutely terrified. I am disabled and 60 yrs old. My husband of over 20 yrs recently divorced me for "a younger working model." I lived in Michigan, which has to be just about the worst state in the union to get divorced in. Its 50-50%, regardless of circumstances.
My husband became absolutely enraged when I actually got a lawyer to help me. I guess he thought I would just fold my tent and crawl off into the desert to die.
I am very "fortunate" in that I did get some relief. Only because I am disabled did I get $1000 a month "to live on."
Also, because he had excellent health benefits at Ford Motor Company, he was ordered to maintain my coverage. For this, he absolutely hates me.
I had to move to Washington because I have no family, and being so co-dependant, not many friends and this was the only person I could move in with. My handicap keeps me from living alone. I have 3 vertibrae in my neck fused,now with osteophytes formed (and one broke loose and is free floating. VERY painful), a hip replacement, (need the other one and a knee done)very bad back, rotated tailbone, RA, RLS. etc...
It turned out the plan we had with Ford was Michigan only, so my husband had to change to one of their other plans. Its been several months now of not being able to go to a doctor or get meds. I FINALLY got a card for Blue Cross. I went to get my scripts filled, and to my horror, found out there is NO scriipt coverage with this plan. To fill everything is $980. And that doesn't include the supplies for my compression cuffs, CPAP, TENS unit or Polar pac either.
When I questioned my husband about this, I got a nasty "FY" email, saying that he was required to keep insurance, but nowhere did it say the "same" coverage." This is nonesense, since he was to keep the policy we had.
Just like the computer he was suposed to furnish me. It didn't say "working" so thats what I got. Just a shell.
I have NO money (haven't even recieved any support payment yet) so I guess he thinks I am "out of state, out of money, out of luck."
I don't know what to do. I have some serious issues as well as surgery looming on the horizon. I am just terrified. Maybe it IS time to fold the tent...
