i know what the dogma is concerning af and candida -- not sure if you even have candida.
the standard line is no sugar, sweet fruits, flour, etc etc.
this is a good strategy for some people, but the fact that graham gets results with raw fruits demonstrates that there is obviously something else/deeper going on.
it seems to me that you are just craving fuel, in other words sugars. the best way to get them is either from grains and tubers or fruits. feed your liver.
you said something like... it is not spiritual to be competitive. this may or may not be the case. are all competitive athletes un-spiritual? are all successful people un-spiritual because they have a competitive spirit? wayne dyer, the archetypal loudmouth and self aggrandizer, occasionally transcends himself and dispenses some pearls of wisdom. one of them goes something like this 'no amount of suffering on your part will ease someone else's pain'
the word spiritual derives from the root word spire, which is what you find on the tops of churches. the thinking in days gone by was that spires would channel etheric energies like an antennae into the congregation and 'inspire' them -- or invigorate them with life force.
if you had enough energy to run marathons then obviously you were doing something correct up until the point you crashed. many people cannot even begin to contemplate the thought of running a marathon.
maybe you would be more spiritual if you won races and became faster? who knows
