It does help to drink more water, but then i start to get imbalances from too much water.
That could be from the type of water you are drinking. Purified waters such as distilled and reverse osmosis water are very hard on the body. They are more solvent than mineralized waters, so they can leach vitamins and minerals from the body as well as toxins. In addition their higher purity means they will travel in the body faster hyperdiluting the electrolytes and putting more strain on the kidneys as the kidneys have to work overtime trying to eliminate the sudden influx of water. This is why people urinate more frequently when drinking purified waters as opposed to mineralized waters. The best choice for water is real spring water. Otherwise purified waters with minerals added back to the water before drinking. I like adding diatomaceous earth to my water to saturate it with silica. Let the DE settle out before using the water. Or a little trace element salt can be added to help saturate the water and reduce its solvency.
How much water a person should drink each day will depend on the person and the climate. If the person already has kidney damage then they may need to restrict their water intake to prevent taxing the kidneys. For healthy individuals though in warm climates they should be drinking around a gallon of mineralized water daily. In cooler climates a half to three quarter of a gallon of mineralized water. Diuretics such as coffee and beer do not count as water.
