Re: Is candida the cause of peeling lips?

After a worsening of my condition following an acidic and preservative-free diet, I am also going to renew my attempt to seriously do this diet, planning to follow it until late-February. I will detail my regimen here and on other pages.

However, I think stress, hot showers, and chlorine may also be playing a role in acidifying our bodily fluids. A lack of oxygen may be having an effect on the bloods ability to heal the lip area. My new hypotheses to test.

I have recommended two stool tests, although pricey, in the past. (Genova Diagnostics does each test for $100 I think) You need to verify you have eliminated the Candida overgrowth and continue on the diet for supposedly 6 months at the minimum, depending on how long you've had the intestinal overgrowth. If you can't afford the test you just need to follow the diet longer to be sure it's gone. Of course, Candida still might not be the cause of the condition although definitely appearing to aggravate it.
