...he used raw beef liver JUICE (extracted in a Norwalk) - there is a huge difference! Then, due to bacterial contamination (and likely the unavailability of truly healthy/clean cow's liver), it was switched to dessicated liver supplements or crude extract injection.
Thought: as far as "meat" in concerned, one of the things that is missing is this thread (among other 'meat issues') is how much longer & harder the body has to work to extract the nutrients out of meat than it does from plants. The energy and resources expended on the digestive process is HUGE (creation of the various enzymes & fluids takes from our storehouses of nutrients). And if the body is sick & compromised with a lack of readily available nutrients for use...the nutrients needed to create the enzymes to break down the food will be taken from bones & tissue.
I'm not sure (much more research required on my part) about this 'conversion issue'...it's as though people are assuming our bodies must "convert" plant-based nutrients into a usable form, but our bodies don't have to "convert" meat-based nutrients into a usable form (???).
The one thing that I'm confident of (currently), is that it takes much more effort & expenditure of energy for the body to extract the nutrients from fiberless hunks of meat than it does from the majority of plants (and of course, with juices, the extraction part is FAR more complete before it's ever ingested). And once the nutrients are finally broken away from the original substance...with plants we have an abundance of healthy fiber & roughage (which "scrubs" the villi, increases peristalsis and feeds the microbiota), with meat we have a glob of fiberless, gooey "glue".
The first thing to do when we're sick is to stop stressing the body in any way, and allow the (likely limited) storehouse of energy & resources to be utilized for healing and restoration (instead of processing 'heavy foods & fats'). Every animal knows to 'go off food' when it's sick; every "grandma" knew to go to broths & juices.
