NAET Yeast Treatment - Confusion re: Foods to Eat

I've been working with a doc in LA who has instructed me to do home treatment for yeast. She has told me to "avoid yeast and sugar" afterward for the 25-hour hold, but I am very confused on what can be eaten during the hold and what cannot.

The NAET handbook says to eat "vegetables, poultry, meat and fish" and avoid yeasts, sugars, fruits, etc., but when I look on the nutritional profiles of most veggies, there is a certain amount classified as "sugars."

For example, broccoli has 1 gram of sugars per serving. The handbook says neither yay or nay about eating brown rice during the hold, but the bag of organic basmati rice I have lists it as having ZERO sugars.

So why does the handbook say to eat veggies - some of which have sugars - but leave it unknown as to rice, which does not have any sugar? And what is really safe to eat during this hold? Anyone have any experiences or comments?
