Help for Echovirus:

My son went to the Dr today and was told he has an ecovirus.I have never heard of this before.Last Thursday he came down with swollen itchy eyes and thought it was a cold.It was getting worst and so on Saturday he went to the Dr who said it was pinkeyes and gave him drops.By Monday he had no relief and went back again so the Dr gave him more drops and antibiotics.

After feeling no better he went to the emergency today and saw an eye specialist who told him he has an echovirus and just has to wait it out.He has swollen lymph nodes,sore throat and what seems like a bladder infection.He is also under a lot of stress with exams and deadlines at university.He thinks that he must have picked up the virus at the gym.Any light on this would be most welcome as I have never heard of this.HV,if you read this I e-mailed you as well,in desperation.Thanks for any input.
