If there is just small amounts of blood this is nothing to worry about.  It is easy to rupture micro blood vessels when strongly vomiting leading to traces of blood in the vomit.  The biggest issue with vomiting is electrolyte imbalances if it goes on too long.  But adding a little trace element salt to some water for ingestion will help with this.

Ginger helps to suppress vomiting .  Real ginger ale or ginger tea made from dried, not fresh, ginger are good ways to go.  Sip on these a little at a time instead of drinking it down quickly.
