For people like me, after the initial dramatic effects of die-off from the diet and antifungals, there is a long, boring plateau phase where not much happens, symptoms are minimal (if not non-existant). But you can't go back to eating/living with abandon yet (if ever) b/c it takes years to return to the pre-candida days. I think some people interpret this boring phase to mean that they are not winning, and they need something stronger. (I use all the stuff that we all talk about on here, but not every day- sometimes every other day, sometimes every third day, etc. Feels like my immune system needs less and less assistance. I can talk about the specifics in the future, I'm sort of short on time right now.)

My point was that it seems for some people, searching for the next antifungal breakthrough (magic bullet) is a by-product of not keeping to a restricted diet, for an extended period of time. You don't have to go on a hunger strike, just tip the balance in your favor. Destroy the filaments, preferably with something non-resistance-creating like SF722, faster than they are growing, if they are.

I honestly think that some people know way too much about candida, like 10 times more than they need to, and what they should be researching is things like:
"Food Addiction" and "Will Power." And if you keep going back in your mind to that fork in the road when some doctor prescribed you a long round of antibiotics, and you're fixated on that spot, research "Rape Victims" and "Trauma Survivors." And "Resentment." I'm serious.
