It sounds as though you are particularly fixated on this one aspect of your past, because I"m sure there are ALOT of things that you have done in your life that were not very nice, just like all of us. Why are you fixated on this one thing? It sounds to me you need to reconcile this with yourself, aside and separate from associating this issue with your girlfriend's request for "truth" no matter what.

You also need to understand that experimenting with other peers of same sex is very common; I'm not sure of the percentage, but it is mighty high. If you feel so bad about it, why not reconcile it with yourself, rather than feeling tne need to confess it to the girlfriend? This is your issue... and its obviously bugging you. Her asking for "truth" is simply a trigger for you to start obessing about it... its obviously a huge issue for you to sort out... with yourself or with a counsellor who can help guide you.

The other point is you need to reflect on why you tried to lower your girlfriend's self esteem? Are you afraid she may run off? You really need to work on this, because real loving relationships are not based on power and control, but mutual respect.
