Wow, very insightful about the protein.

I worked up gradually to one or two glasses or so of milk kefir per day when I went down with gout. However, I restarted the kefir some time after my gout healing and did not have another attack.

I have done a couple candida diets that included some kind of meat or chicken protein for each meal incl breakfast and have never contracted gout since the attack that I spoke of.

Also I had a serious gout attack a year or so before I did the kefir and many smaller but painful ones in prior yrs. I will say that I was very concerned about contracting a gout attack when I first started these diets of higher protein than my normal intake.

I had 3 or 4 strep throats and other ifections as a youngster so antibiotics were common for me in those days. I was a sugar junkie as far back as I remember but have stopped refined sugar over last few months while on these candida diets. Maybe I am able to process the extra protein better now I don't know.

Appreciate any pointers.
