My 11 year old asked for Echinacea

So after my 8 year old went through his earache/virus episode I had explained to both my boys why we did not want to go to the doc. I told them about antibiotics and how they harm the immune system and kill off the good bacteria.

Fast forward to yesterday. My 11 year old started getting the virus so I told him we needed to start echinacea. He was apprehensive because he heard his little brother say how bad it tasted! Well he took it twice yesterday and then this morning he came and asked for more as well as this evening. He is a believer!He said he was asking for it becasue he knew if he didn't take it he would end up worse like his brother was and he didn't want to get that way.

I am amazed that my boys are such troopers that they take it! It does taste bad! But I am more amazed that they can wrap their heads around why then need it!
