cat injury

Hi MH,

have not heard anything about the fishpond in a while,
hope that is going well.

might be a bit of an unusual case,
but i had to ask, as you have helped me so much.

have a little issue with my dear cat,
which i was hoping you could give me your opinion on.

he's injured his front right paw.
it looks like one of the claws is damaged (his equivalent
thumb i guess),
it has some blood and at the root it looks like it
might be infected.

he is walking around on it ok,
but does seem a little depressed,
as he is usually very playful and mischieveous -
good news for the local birds and mice!

i dont want to take him to the "vet",
what would you do in this case,
any treatment advice?
