A lot of those old gods are similar, connected with the sun (source of all life), even the name Jesus "son", who is worshipped on "Sun"-day, etc. I read that the name Jesus Christ came from a combination of the Druid god "Hesus" (Jesus) and the Hindu god 'Krishna" (Christ). Then the pope made the followers of those religions worship this new God and abandon their old practices, which were close to nature. The cool part is that the monks who wrote the Bible had to put in what the Pope told them to, but they were smart and they put in messages for those who can see them. I see the Bible as the greatest mystery / health / spiritual book of all time.
Do you like to read? If you do, there are lots of out-of-copyright books available for free download. After the Inquisition ended, a lot of books came out. I've seen them from 1850 up to early to mid 1900s. It's amazing. I saw pictures in one of the books of the Lamb on the altar and also the lamb on on the cross (Lamb of God). It was a lamb (symbol of age of Aries) before it was a man. There are tons of symbols and explanations of how they've been used throughout history, including the cross and many more.
Of course, these ideas are met with cynicism and sometimes even rage from Christians, who think that their God is the only one and all the thousands and millions of people who had non-Christian belief systems in ancient times were "heathens". Yet these heathens built the pyramids, the sphinxes, Stonehenge, and many structures that we can't begin to think of replicating today ... and we're so superior??? hmm ... and Constantine destroyed the library of Constantinople ... hmm ... all food for thought ...
