If you are short of breath....Try Buteyko

Been a while since I updated on my Buteyko breathing progress.  The chart below is my morning "Control Pause".  

I actually started playing around with Buteyko breathing at the start of March, but didn't  really chart my numbers well until mid-April.

I had been extremely short of breath for a long time.  I would frequently sigh and gasp for air while just sitting. My Control Pause was around 10-11 seconds.  The lowest it is on the chart is 12, but like I said, this is after I had been practicing fo a while.

I actually worked with an instructor via Skype for a while. I still send her questions via email.  I was stuck at CP=20 for a long while, which I understand is a common plateau. 

Then all of a sudden I started to trend up to aound CP=30.    If breath much easier now.  No gasping, no sighs.

I am feeling much better. Since I was feeling so good, I started to play tennis again.  Played twice per week for the last month and it kind of wore me down a little.  This was not a good move.  However, I stopped that and am bouncing back quickly.

For several years, I would often have lite beige, almost white bowel movements, indicating I was not clearing toxins well.

I have had only dark brown bowel movement since April.  Buteyko is supposed to increase oxygen to all of your cells, including liver.  So I believe my liver is functioning better and removing toxins now.  My skin also looks much better.
