Re: Diluting 35% food grade peroxide?

If you do a "sinus rinse" with 3% hydrogen peroxide you stand the chance of burning them and actually damaging them.  I've followed the Dr. William Campbell Douglass II protocol for a mouth rinse using the drug store H2O2 at 3% for a mouth wash and that can burn if you swish too long.  The mouth has a lot of saliva to dilute it with but if you use that amount for a sinus rinse it's my opinion you are asking for trouble.  By the way, Douglass claims that the drugstore 3% solution is more pure than the so called food grade varieties.

I've had a lot of success using one or two drops of tea tree oil in the saline solution (1 cup of water, 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt, and 1 teaspoon of soda) for my neti pot sinus clean out.  Depending on the origin of the tea tree oil that can be worked up to 3 or 4 drops but start low.  Tea tree oil will kill the infection and as my medical doctor told me - even if it didn't it will wash out any virus that you have up there.

I would personally never us H2O2 as a sinus rinse.  If you use it in your mouth and can't stand it you can spit.  Your nose can't do that.
