"Having taken Cipro myself for over a year, I'd highly suggest trying all you can to deal with this infection head-on."
*You took Cipro for over a year?! Wow.... if u don't mind me asking, what was the reason for such a long Tx on Cipro?
Also, how did that affect your health and gut flora? Did u develop any dysbiosis?
"The only thing I can think of(other than the cautionary side effects) would be to get a good enzyme to control effects of intestinal flora damage, and of course, to keep a very close eye on joint pain. Ciprofloxacin has a well known reputation for tendon damage and cartilage erosion, and so you need to be careful about that."
*What kind of enzymes are u referring to? I currently take Interfase by Klaire Labs. http://www.klaire.com/prod/proddetail.asp?id=K-INT
(I also take ReNew Life digestive enzymes and HCl, but those are for digestion).
"Other than that, it is a very effective antibiotic for some of the more difficult strains."
*How long would I be on this and what dosage? The lab didn't provide that info, and my Chiro didn't know, since he doesn't work with antibiotics. He is the one that wants me to do MMS
"PS. While MMS COULD treat this infection, I'd be very weary of alternative medicines with any serious infection. For example... by identified the strain, you now have the tactical advantage over your infection through conventional medicine. And that's a very good thing!
And so, if it were me, I would deal with this thing head-on and follow through with the Cipro treatment. - After which... once you get this out of the way, you could resume your Candida and leaky gut treatments."
*I'm having a hard time figuring out if u are pro-MMS or Anti-MMS...Are u against alternative medicine, and if so, why? I'm afraid that the Cipro might make things worse...I was on Vancomycin for a MRSA infection, which I'm still recovering from. I don't want to take that chance with Cipro, but it's hard to know if this is the "magic pill" I'm looking for.
Can I do MMS and Cipro?
