Need Help Weaning off Effexor

Hi,

I'm writing to ask for help in weaning off Effexor. I've been taking it for about six years and have gained about 120lbs. I was a little underweight before, so I'm not as big as a house, but I feel awful (physically, emotionally and spiritually).

I am on my last bottle for this month (would need a prescription to get another six month supply) and I prefer not to continue it. I don't notice a difference in my depression symptoms lately and I'm not willing to have the dosage made higher. All this time, my doctors have been telling me I eat too much and don't exercise and the weight gain had nothing to do with the medications. Ugh.

I recently started prepping for a fast and am currently doing detox tea. I want to feel better and modern medicine is creating more problems than it's helping.

Please...if you have ever been on Effexor and have successfully weaned to a natural alternative, please respond. I don't want to go through withdrawal but I'm willing to do that not to continue to have my life destroyed because of ongoing health problems and the emotional pain of never feeling well.
