Nice post. Antbiotics and heavy metals are the two reasons why so many of us suffer. I was confronted with a leaky gut all thanks to having the evil posion of mercury/amalgam. I know how he feels. Mainstream doctor's in western society have been taught to ignore the middle element of treating these disorders & syndromes and only treat the disease state. Symptom management is what most doctor's are taught in the medical universites. At least with heavy metal exposure there is a chance of removing immune surpression, but antibiotics are a bigger problem when it comes to re-establishing proper gut flora and trying to deal with chronic candida which seems resistant to any anti-fungal or treatment that you can use. I'm certain that once long courses of antibiotics are used the chances of tackling candida becomes near impossible. Candida probably mutates and changes to become even more resistant to long term treatment. C
