Because you are posting on the diabetes forums then you know that there's a simple way to find out.  Eat an equal amount of each (on separate days) and test your blood sugar about an hour after each ingestion. 

My experience with honey is that it raises my blood sugar just like any other sugar including "complex" carbohydrates in the form of whole grain bread.  In fact, for me - two slices of whole grain bread raise my blood sugar levels higher than a half gallon of ice cream. 

Regarding blood sugar levels each person is going to be different.  If you don't know about your reaction of what you're ingesting then test, test, test and learn about your body.
