1, 2, 3, I'm out --No upper right chewing for me -SAD LOSS

I am adjusting to losing my 2nd tooth loss in the last 4 years. It has been very sad and I had hoped that the sadness would pull out of me with the tooth.

It was my #2 tooth - I had # 1 and #16 wisdom teeth pulled in my late teens (many moons ago). And # 3 was extracted about 4 years ago.

This number 2 tooth was a failing root canal that had a very old silver point root canal. My dentist said it was really older technology. And the endo said it was not a candidate for a re-do. It must have been one of my first root canals or perhaps a very old dentist. I can't remember. I had just paid $1,300. 8 months ago to have it re crowned. I don't think the dentist and the endo communicated so well or we would not have re crowned. The Endo said they had told me years ago that that tooth might need to be redone. My dental practice seems to zero in on any crown work they can do.

I hope I did the right thing by pulling it -- Now I am a tooth amputee wondering how to chew with no upper right teeth.

I hate devices in my mouth and don't know if partials are even an option for me. I have never been able to wear guards before.

The RAW FAMILY green smoothie people I follow have a device they invented called a Jawcerciser for Jaw Exercise. It is a little dumbbell U shaped piece of rubber to chew on for exercise. I don't know how to use it especially now.

Any advice about tooth loss and how to chew or gum food?

How to cope?

I have Dr. Schulze 's new mouthwash product and it is really great! I already do oil pulling, but I hate to floss cause my teeth are so very tight. Guess it is true you should only floss the teeth you want to keep. I am so sorry now that I am losing teeth.

Dentist don't do much physical therapy for the loss they leave with folks.

I am trusting God will keep removing sadness from me as loss in this life is part of the human condition. My hope is in Him. I know only He can restore the Joy only He can provide.
