Oh but I do.  Cartilage doesn't grind.   Bone does.  Her orthopedic doctor will verify that.  I also had cartilage clearing procedures done on my knee as well.  I know the difference between a cartilage problem/tear and a bone on bone condition.

Having researched this topic for my own condition the only thing that I've seen is a possible cartilage transplant like the one here:

I looked at alternative methods of regeneration and they simply don't exist.  The most popular attempt is of course glucosamine and chondroitin supplements which I took for several years without any success and now believe that it is a complete scam.  The doctor who "found" this solution wasn't even in the field of bone/knee/joint medicine.  

Joint problems can take years to develop as in my case.  One can think that they've fixed the condition but they will come back to haunt them.  As I mentioned earlier my medical support had me take 12 aspirin at a time, twice a day, and that worked wonders - for a while but was obviously not a permanent fix.

The placebo effect (actually the human spirit) has been found to work as high as 80% of the time over and above drugs and medical treatment in some cases and on average about 35% of the time always.  "Science" is now trying to harness that power too but in reality it is up to each individual to do that for themselves.

We are living in a world of highly irrational fear and when people can erase these unnatural fears and live life with the joy and happiness that god intended and which is within everyone of us, many illnesses will disappear.
