Well, the computer ones ground you to the computer so that you are at the same electrical potential as the computer.

You need to plug into the receptacle of your wall outlet. The one that looks like a round hole (not the slots) is actually connected to the earth.

So suppose you cold use a computer one and then modify it to connect to an extension cord....However, if you are not familiar with wiring.....might not be safe :)

You can buy "Earthing" products from a few places on-line. Amazon, Unikeyhealth.com

You can get mats, mouse pads, ankle/wrist straps, bed sheets

I'm really really impressed with it so far.

The other important thing is to minimize exposure to EMF. I recommend the books "Zapped" and "Earthing".
