Vulk, I'm sorry to bug you one more time, but just entertain me for a moment or two. Why do you think because your lip is smooth now it won't redevelop healthy grooves through the healing process? Mine certainly has.

I get that you are hesitant to take a 6 month course of action without a guarantee. However, it is harder to understand why you are willing to continue to put prescribed medications (essentially chemicals) on your lips that are almost surely going to worsen your condition. If you look through this forum you will see that someone has tried any medication your dermatologist will prescribe to you without success. EC is not a skin condition. It is an internal condition that requires lifestyle changes, which should begin with no balms or ointments, and as healthy and natural of a diet as possible. Perhaps raw foods is too much for you - it is for me. However, how about cutting out (or at least way down) processed foods that contain chemicals and perservatives? There is no risk to this at all! It will only make your body happy.

I do hope you will consider some of the changes that have been suggested and perhaps consider seeing a counselor to deal with the emotional aspect of this horrible condition. Seeing a counselor has done me a world of good. Believe you me, I have been where you are right now and it is a terrbile place to be. You can pull yourself out of it by taking self-directed action!
