I was in the same boat than you, With FD since 2006. Same with the combo of rifampicin Clyndamicin. then 17 months ago I read a paper on pubmed and on this paper they used rifampicin but also a combination of Minocycline twice daily ( 100 mg per time ) + Clarythromycin twice daily ( 500mg per time ) this antibiotic is even better than rifampicin ) . So I tried this conbination, keep using it and I have been clean for the last 16 months. I also added Zinc gluconate in every meal and also a shampoo with 4 % cade oil .
Add some probiotic to avoid side effects for long term use of antibiotic.

Minocycline should be take with the empty stomach, 2 hours after a meal ( at least ) and one hour before ( at least ) .
Clarythromycin better if you take it with meals.
Also, At the begun of this treatment I receive one time per month corticoids shots into my scalp.

Also tried , before this Isotretinoin, acetretin , none work and let me with keloid scars :( . Also bactrim, somehow helped but nothing great.
