It is not uncommon to become addicted to wheat (and casein) because it contains opoids. People who adopt a gluten free life style go through about a 2 week withdrawal before they start to feel better. Wheat and other grains are acid forming foods and if the body is acid the minerals tend to precipitate out in the kidneys, bile system and joints. There are several acid and alkaline forming food diets online and I use these diets to reduce the acidity of my body. Also look at the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.

I think that it always a good idea for people with intestinal problems to rule out Celiac Disease. This is an autoimmune problem triggered by gluten in wheat, barley and rye. The only treatment is to strictly avoid gluten. I read recently that Celiacs sometimes develop autoimmune kidney problems that can only be diagmosed by a kidney biopsy. Many Celiacs also have gallstone problems. If you search the Liver Flush Support Forum you will see the various types of scans used to diagnose bile system problems.

Kidney Cleanses are best done along with other cleanses and I have found that doing a complete program works better for me. Look at Hulda Clark 's and Richard Schultze's programs.
