Water only Segment Update

I am in day four of a water only fasting segment portion of this fast. Everything is going very well. The first day was the hardest only because I was craving some juice that I was feasting on when I was on liquid days. At least I have progressed from craving Pepsi to juice. :) I worked through yesterday and had no problems with weakness etc. On this day four I have been busy cleaning my floors etc. with no problems. Hunger is not a problem, probably because I am in ketosis.

My health has improved greatly. I disagree with people who say that you have to stay in bed during a fast to get health benefits. This has not been my experience. I have been going through some major lung issues for about four years now. I think I got a lung infection from an apartment I was living at. There was a lot of water damage in the place and I do mean a lot. I am so thankful to be out of there. I have never smoked. Although I have refused to go to a doctor over it, in spite of my family's wishes and pleading with me, I believe from the research of my symptoms, that it developed into asthma and eventually, as it became worse, into the dreaded COPD. For about the past year I have noticed that I even become out of breath to the point that at times walking became hard. I now go on walks during my breaks at work. I am noticing that I am now able to walk farther and farther and faster and faster as each day goes by. I had a great walk yesterday on my third day of water fasting with no problems. I love walking and I really missed it when I could not do it. I could not get a breakthrough on this with my short water fasts. Although they helped, I realized things overall were getting worse. I need to fast more often. I need to also fast longer. I also need to seek the Lord for healing via the stripes of Jesus with fasting and prayer. I'm sure He is willing and able to heal me for anything that the natural healing from the fast is not able to do. I so believe in this. I hope it was ok to post about the health issues on this forum.

In spite of needing to get health issues resolved, my most important reason for fasting is still to get spiritual breakthroughs. I need to get much closer to Jesus. I need to get completely in His will for what He would like me to do for the rest of my life. I still don't have anything major to report here except that I definitely have a greater desire for my Lord. I am on day 29 of the 40 day commitment.
