Re: Made It, But Update

I probably did say in one of my post that I couldn't fast just because I have a lot of the conditions that they say is contraindicated with fasting. I have hypoglycemia, severe adrenal fatigue, really low blood pressure, deficient in everything probably, pretty thin, etc. I've not tried to fast since my last 30 day water fast, which was nine or so years ago. So, I was nervous about doing a fast at all. I didn't want to tell anyone really because I didn't know if I'd make it past a few hours, much less a day. I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was just something I wanted to try. Now I know I can do it and it not kill me :), and maybe I could even go longer. I don't have a lot to report physically since my problems are pretty bad, and my symptoms vary all the time anyway. I know ten days is not significant for the kind of issues I have. It was no doubt a good rest for my body and I know that has benefits even if I can't feel it necessarily.

But spiritually it was a sweet time with the Lord. Fasting definitely slows time down it seems and brings rest that the days of eating don't.

I thought of the Celery because I really wanted to do just water, but I didn't feel safe doing that with my issues. The one thing I have to have for sure is sodium because of my adrenal and low blood pressure issues. It seemed to do the job well as far as keeping me from sinking too low, at least for the first eight days. And I did juice some ginger with the celery too. I can't do the sugar type juices like carrots, or fruit juices.

Thank you for letting us in on your fasting journey. It has been very inspiring to read your reports!

God has shown me too in the last year especially some beyond ugly fleshly stuff. I long to be rid of it all. I can't wait for this corruptible body to be replaced with the incorruptible body. Oh, I can't wait! But I must wait I guess. :)
