I don't know how long your mom had been on the AD meds but as some one who has been on these types of drugs (and wish the H E double hockey sticks that I'd never heard of them and believe they should be banned) I believe the exhaustion IS most likely due to the drugs.

PS...never go off these type of meds cold turkey...you must, must, must use caution in coming off of them or she could end up in the psyc ward or worse.

If she's up for it I'd get her to a naturopath or DO and try to get to the root cause of her health issues....focusing on rebuilding the body with nutrition, proper supplementation, hormonal support etc.
