The big problem with this antibacterial approach is while it can get you into remission, it also kills of a lot of your beneficial bacteria, which also defend you from further attacks of bad bacteria and may not be easy to replace. So while reducing bad bacteria is essential, and diet can do this over time as well as certain herbs, you still have to improve your colons ability to resist and repair damage or the same thing can happen again when the bacteria recovers and an imbalance in bacteria occurs. People walk around all the time with dysbiosis and parasites but only a few people get colitis from it
