More thoughts… Years ago I heard it said that the first little bit of water distilled should be thrown away as certain chemicals will boil off first. Another option is to not put the lid on until it bubbles some due to the same as above. Since chlorine in pools dissipates after a while, I would think it would have a lower boiling point (???) and disappear if doing the above. Some people leave a gallon jug open overnight before giving it to a goldfish as the chlorine would kill it. Could do the same?
