You make a lot of good points. I too am working on getting my gums and teeth healthier after being told I needed a "deep cleaning" which I refused. I've been rinsing and flushing out my mouth a lot too, and eating less, and less frequently. And (surprise, surprise) I am also a fan of using urine, although it hadn't occurred to me to brush with it, gonna try that, thanks. Others have also mentioned good effects with urine, i.e.:

One teacher of UT advocated holding it in the mouth for 20 to 30 min. so it could reach the roots.
I'm not sure that eating late at night is necessarily bad if it's something light, like a banana.
Our choices of food and drink are very important, of course. I've quit coffee, alcohol, nightshades like potatoes and tomatoes (supposed to be linked to calcium depletion), and most processed food. Drink green smoothies, take a bunch of supplements including COQ10 which is supposed to be specific for gums. Use several herbal preparations including an herbal mouthwash, a comfrey decoction, and black walnut tincture. Eat whole, healthy foods. Over the weekend I went off that plan, had Thai food, out to breakfast etc. and yesterday I saw my gums were bleeding again with brushing. Back on the straight and narrow, and today, no bleeding.
A dentist told me I shouldn't brush my gums. Maybe I ought to reconsider that advice. What method do you use?
