Dunno about that Adam and Eve story. I do know that Alien Bible guy has a whole post on it but I never read it since I didn't want to spend the time going back to Sumarian glyphs.

What I can tell you is that when in Catholic Kindergarten (I was a Lutheran) there where two artifacts that fascinated me. The first was a twelfth century wood carving of the Archangel Raphael slaying a Dragon crawling out of the ruins of a castle. The second was a Picture of Adam and Eve where the Apple was an Orb not an Apple.
This of course would change the whole story of a serpent giving the orb or Monarchy to those who defied God's will..
But who am I to argue with the Bible...
