Liver and gallstone cleanse question

I started ahving gallstone problem about a year ago. I have done about six flushes. The last two I felt worse. I have gotten hundreds of stones out. With the last attack I went to the ER and the ultrasound showed my gallbladder was better but that my liver was congested. So I ordered chinese herbs. I did another flush but before the flush I was already hurting. This last week my liver swelled up and my eyes are jaundice. i was wondering could all this flushing be causing the liver to get more congested? or I should not have flushed when I was already hurting? I now have stopped everything drinking lots of water, and doing enemas to clean myself out. I have noticed alot of stringy dark mucus coming out as well. Maybe I just detoxed to much at once? Have you ever heard of anyone causing liver failure from doing the flush and not bowel cleansing properly? Any advice or experience would help?
