Has adrenal fatigue ruined your relationship with a loved one?

I have been dating my girlfriend (fiancee since December) for about 8 years. I got adrenal fatigue 2 years into the relationship. It was very tough at first and I asked her for some space to heal. We got back together and always hoping for this illness to heal and move forward with our lives. We would meet on weekend for a day, sometimes 2.

Since its hard for me to do things, we often would spend time inside watching a movie and rarely going out to eat. My gf is an outgoing type and this was hard for her to adjust, but slowly she did.

This weekend she had decided to move on. She said that this lifestyle is killing her spirit and may lead her to depression. Its a burden for her.

This hurt me so much. I thought we would get married someday. Life is hard enough when healthy, but with an illness and now with a loved one leaving it becomes almost impossible. I am losing hope in life. I have lost SO much with this illness. I feel little motivation in trying to rebuild and to find another good girl.

Has anybody had similar experiences? And how do we deal with this?
