I wish I knew. It's possible but there isn't enough info about oxalates yet. All the research has been geared toward kidney stones and arthritis. Again, us candida sufferers are on our own for now. Well we can't complain really, we know quite a bit. I think we know enough to get better.

when you say "impairs digestion" you really mean "impairs my digestion".. Because like I said I can eat rice all day with no ill effects. I can eat meats. Beef, chicken, and fish give me no problem, but Pork gives me issues. It's a personal thing and it all depends what type of damage your body has gone through. Some have liver issues, some pancreas issues, some small intestine.. some have celiac, some have gluten intolerance, some have corn allergy, peanut allergy, etc. Some have major sugar regulation issues which might go hand in hand with Candida. Maybe it caused Candida. Maybe Candida caused the problem to begin with. It's really such a crapshoot so all you can do is go by symptoms that are personal to yourself... and get a full check up including a thorough blood panel and glucose testing.. 24 hr urine analysis, heavy metal testing, etc. I've never done heavy metal testing but I got my Amalgams removed and did a light spirulina detox which seemed to help out a bit.

I gotta repeat this though...if I eat gluten, i'm screwed for 3 weeks or more. I'd gladly take a hunk of steak. Even if I do overdo it and I have sluggish digestion for 2 days..it's nothing compared to the real culprit for me, GLUTEN

Everyone has to find their sensitivies out for themselves. We all come from different backgrounds.. in my nationality they devour raw meat every sunday, and they probably did this for as far back as any documented history can go so perhaps my body is fit for it? I don't know. I read that you should eat for your blood type. Not sure about that, haven't researched into it enough.

.. just sayin' certain body types can handle things that are like poison to another.
